Here are tips for making your SoulSelfies:

Before you begin recording:

  • Be mindful of your THOUGHTS – throughout this process: How do they serve/cost you? Are they: familiar/uplifting/diminishing/serving your goals/getting in your way?
  • Be mindful of the SOUND – Be in a quiet environment and speak loud enough to be clearly heard.
  • Be mindful of the LIGHTING – Make sure the light is on your face and not behind it.
  • Be mindful of the TIME – Be able to see when you’re near the one minute mark.
  • Choose a PROMPT – Then take a moment to connect with your truth and what you truly wish to share.
  • Be responsible for the CONTENT – SoulSelfies are expressions of  your personal experience and not about shaming/blaming/harming others with any oppressive, insensitive, or violent content.

When you are ready to record:

  • Be YOURSELF and just let your words flow from your heart (no need to perform or plan a script).
  • Be PATIENT with yourself  (the outcome of the video does not matter).
  • Give yourself FULL PERMISSION to scream, cry, laugh, flail, stumble over your words, and to do as many takes as you need to let go of performing, let your guard down, and let your truth arise and come through.

Once you’ve completed your recording:
